  • Chairman, Cedar Community Trust

    Patrick Goldfinch brings a wealth of financial expertise to the Cedar Community Trust, with over 22 years of experience in trust accounting. A retired accountant, Patrick holds a Diploma in Business Studies, majoring in Accounting and Management, as well as a Diploma in Management, both earned from Auckland University of Technology (1991–1997).

    Beyond his professional background, Patrick is deeply involved in the local community. He has been an active member of the Cedar Centre (Anglican Parish of Birkdale Beach Haven) for 40 years. His passion for sports is reflected in his dedication to rugby refereeing and coaching, alongside his love for cricket and reading.

    As Chairman of the Trust, Patrick’s financial acumen and commitment to community service help guide the Trust’s mission to support and enhance local initiatives.


  • Trustee, Cedar Community Trust

    Rev’d Daniel Prakash Sahayam brings a wealth of pastoral and community leadership to the Cedar Community Trust. A fourth-generation Fijian of Indian descent, Daniel has dedicated his life to ministry, serving as an ordained Anglican priest in the Diocese of Polynesia from 2007 to 2019. In July 2022, he was inducted as Vicar of the Cedar Centre, Anglican Church, Birkdale/Beach Haven, where he continues to foster a welcoming and inclusive faith community.

    Beyond his ministry, Daniel has over 15 years of experience in both church and secular roles, demonstrating his deep commitment to service and people. He holds a Bachelor of Theology and a Bachelor of Counselling (Level 5) from New Zealand, alongside a Diploma in Computer Science and other theological qualifications from Fiji and New Zealand.

    With a leadership style rooted in collaboration, dialogue, and active listening, Daniel is passionate about community engagement and pastoral care. As a Trustee of the Cedar Community Trust, he brings his dedication to teamwork, inclusivity, and service to help support and strengthen local initiatives.


  • Trustee, Cedar Community Trust

    Martin brings extensive experience in administration and management within voluntary organisations. He has served in various Anglican parishes and contributed to Scouting New Zealand in leadership roles. Currently in his first term as a Trustee, Martin represents the Cedar Centre Vestry, where he also serves as Property Manager and sits on the Finance Committee.

    Professionally, Martin works for Health NZ as an IT Team Lead, specialising in IT Service Management.

    Outside of work and community service, Martin is a devoted family man who treasures time with his wife and six children. Whether he’s delving into a good book or perfecting his latest brew, he approaches his hobbies with the same passion and dedication that define his professional and community commitments. His ability to balance leadership, service, and family life reflects his unwavering dedication to the people and causes that matter most to him.

    Louise Clark is an entrepreneur and community advocate dedicated to driving positive change through sustainability and social impact. As the founder of The Collective, she combines environmental responsibility with community support, particularly in mental health advocacy.

    A strong believer in making a difference, Louise has volunteered at Women’s Refuge, offering support to those in need. As a single mother, she values resilience, connection, and creating a better future. She finds joy in walking, nature, and engaging with like-minded people who share her vision for a more compassionate world.

    As a Trustee of the Cedar Community Trust, Louise brings her marketing expertise and passion for community-building to strengthen the Trust’s reach and impact. She is committed to fostering meaningful connections and driving initiatives that create lasting, positive change.
